Majha House, in collaboration with Centre for North Eastern Studies (C-NES) and Heinrich Boll Stiftung, is currently working on a research project titled “The Assamese Sikhs: Negotiating Transitions”. This project explores the history and trajectories of ‘Assamese/ Asomiya Sikhs’– who migrated from Punjab to Assam over centuries.
Sanjoy Hazarika and Preeti Gill lead Minaakshi Bujarbaruah, Simran Kaur, and Niyati Singh for this project.
We are currently in the process of developing community development programs and an upcycle crafts center. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting new ventures!
