This 2 day festival – that had a specific focus on the literary and cultural heritage of Punjab and Amritsar– brought in 20+ performers and hosted an audience of more than 400 people. Prominent luminaries included- Sir Mark Tully Writer, ex BBC Bureau Chief; Satish Jacob Veteran journalist; Sanjoy Hazarika International Director, Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative; Hartosh Bal Columnist and writer; AlkaPande Art historian, writer & curator; Gurmeet Rai Heritage conservationist; NirupamaDutt Journalist, translator, poet & writer; K.S.Dhillon, Writer and ex-Vice Chancellor; KanwaljitDeol, Writer and ex- policewoman; Gillian Wright, Writer and translator; Meera Dewan, Award winning documentary film maker; Punjabi poets Nirmal Arpan, Paul Kaur, Manmohan and SimratGagan as well as the Dastangoi team of Sunil Mehra and Askari Naqvi and Sufi singer and composer, Madan Gopal.
